The Last Push!

Robbie Syme is now heading for Christ Church Cathedral, Waterford arriving at 7 p.m. this evening on the last leg of his ‘Pedalling for Health – Home and Away’ fund-raising cycle.

In this Church of Ireland outreach event he is visiting six cathedrals in the Diocese to raise money for the MRI scanner in Wexford General Hospital (the home recipient) and putting a roof on a health centre in Rwanda (the away one).

On Wednesday he braved ‘biblical showers’ as he made his way to Cashel.

“I hope to get there before I have to swim!” he said en route.

Yesterday he crossed the Vee (not an easy climb) from Cashel to Lismore and was glad to reach the top. It was ‘wheeeeeee’ then, all the way down to Lismore.

Today sees him heading from Lismore to Waterford City.
