The Ministry Project – Building for the Future

A Major Transformation to a Key Part of Church Life

Some major changes are being planned by the Bishops to the way in which we train people for ministry, which in the first instance will impact the way in which we train and prepare people for ordination

The aim is to ensure that ministers are effectively prepared for what the role requires for mission in 21st century Ireland and that practice and learning are effectively brought together – such that the one informs the other. This involves major changes to curriculum, plant and facilities and much of college life.

The Bishops are inviting the clergy and laity of the church of Ireland to two information events at which they intend to share their plans and invite questions.

They are Dublin – April 18th – 7.30pm – Green Isle Hotel, Newlands Cross and Belfast – April 19th – 7.30pm – Templeton Hotel – Templepatrick. Space will be limited and you can reserve your place on the web site www.ministry.ie – which also gives more details of the project or by writing to The Ministry Project, Church of Ireland House, Rathmines, Dublin 6
