BOUGH YOUTH CLUB
With Easter now just a distant memory and hopefully all the easter eggs devoured, we now prepare for a busy summer schedule.
MARCH MEETING:
Bough Hall was the venue in March with a smaller crowd in attendance but that did not surprise us with many of us been tied to the land. The night passed off with much fun and crack had, especally after the meeting when Alan Pearson put both Ruth and I through our paces on the badminton court, definitely and old dog and new tricks springs to mind.
APRIL OUTING:
As I type we are just back from our Easter outing in Dublin the choice was either shopping in Tallaght or Karting in Kylemore. We had just 40 youth club members on the bus and over 30 of them went karting. I myself went karting and surprised myself with my early skill, which somehow left me half way through the heats. Congrats. to James Northon for winning first place and to Gillian Southern on been the fastest lady on track.
APRIL YOUTH ALIVE YOUTH SERVICE:
Tullow hosted the service in April and we looked at Thomas and how firstly he doubted Jesus but then how he became to belive. Sadly and I mean sadly we only had a very small attendance, these services do take some organising and one does feel a little down-hearted when support does not follow. What lifts the heart is knowing that there is somthing being done for the youth of the parishes we touch on.
DATES FOR THE DIARY:
Saturday 5th May Youth Alive Youth Service Kiltegan at 8 p.m.
Sunday 20th May Youth Service in Ardoyne Church please see the Revd Lester Scott notes for more details.
Saturday 26th May - End of Year Bar B Que in Bough Hall at 9 p.m.
