LCIYC Notes: May Magazine:
Well folks,
We hope that you're keeping well and that you had a nice Easter. We
wish you well in shedding those Easter pounds!
We have a few events planned for the month of May including the annual AGM
so this will probably be the last time that we'll be corresponding with you.
If it is, let us say that it was a pleasure working as PROs for the past two
years (Clive for one) with the CIYC. We both have enjoyed organising
events to keep ye all happy!
· First things first: the rundown
on last month's event:
24 April: The over 18s disco was an exciting night in the Gandon Inn.
Snacks were provided, the craic was mighty, and many danced their socks off
until the early hours! For the information on the next over 18s disco
keep your eyes and ears open!
At time of going to press the Kerry Weekend had generated a lot of interest. The
trip was aimed at 10-13 year olds and planned activities were sports, worship
and lots of fun. We hope that everyone enjoyed themselves.
· Future Events:
21 May: LCIYC's annual AGM . We hope to see lots of new faces at
the AGM which will be held in the Manor Hotel at 8:30 pm. All are welcome.
· Congratulations to:
Shirley Broomfield and John Watchorn who announced their engagement a
while ago. Shirley served for many years on the committee, particularly
as PRO. We wish them well in their future and look forward to seeing
them at our future events.
· Farewell to:
Heather Pratt who retired from the committee last month. We thank
her for all the work she put into the LCIYC for many years and we look forward
to seeing her at future events.
Farewell to Rev Cliff Jeffers and his family. We will miss their support
greatly and thank Cliff so much for all the brilliant ideas. We wish
you well in Athy.
We hope to see you at upcoming events-be sure to say a friendly
hello.
God bless,
Your faithful PROs,
Nicola and Clive.

only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life.” John 3:16
