Welcome to the monthly magazine of the United Dioceses of Cashel & Ossory.

Diocesan Magazine CommiteeEven as we pull away from Christmas, our February Issue will carry some pleasant reminders with pictures of parties and smiling faces along with accounts of all the festive celebrations.

Due acknowledgement is made to the retirements of Precentor Norrie Ruddock, Revd. Ken Sherwood and also mention of Very Revd. John Patterson, Dean of Christ Church Cathedral, Dublin, our Metropolitan Cathedral We wish them well in their leisure times, no doubt interspersed for calls to ³sub² in when the need is required.

The New Year brings change in the personnel of the Diocesan Mothers Union with its new President Mrs. Hazel Sherlock and its new PRO, Mrs. Irene Murray with all due thanks to Mrs. Joan Dier and Mrs. Denise Hughes for all their work over the past number of years.

As the brighter days begin to stretch the evenings, the feeling of Spring is around and with our warmer climate, the poor bulbs do not know what to be at and are almost in bloom! This February heralds the Leap Year (Watch out Gentlemen!) and Confirmations are well to the fore in the planning with classes underway. Ash Wednesday will soon be upon us reflecting us into Lent.
