“Brilliant,” “the best one yet!” – “when’s the next one?” These were just some of the comments regarding the very successful fouth Regenerate that was held at Kilkenny College on Saturday 24th January. Just over 70 teenagers gathered in the afternoon and attended workshops on Fair trade and the “heart of worship.” There was time to meet up with old friends, make new ones and a collections of stalls were available displaying various Christian literature and organisations. Many more teenagers, young adults and the young at heart joined us for the evening program which was led by the Core Outreach team. Rev’d Willi Stewart gave an excellent address using the episode of Jesus walking on the Water as an illustration of how often God calls us away from the places we are most comfortable to serve him better. There were some excellent dramas and worship was led by the renowned singer songwriter, Eoghan Heaslip. Eoghan is the worship leader at CORE and has led worship at events such as Summer Madness and has released a number of CDs. Its brilliant to see Regenerate going from strength to strength and it was encouraging that those who attended were representative of the whole Christian. Plans are already being made for the next Regenerate which will be held around Easter time.

Confirmation Retreats
By the time of publication the first of the Confirmation Retreats will have taken place. 27th-.28th February is the Confirmation retreat for those preparing for confirmation in Kilkenny College. A confirmation retreat for the Diocese of Ferns will be held on 3rd April at St Mogues Cottage, Ferns and a third confirmation retreat for the rest of the Diocese will be held at some stage around Easter.

Thank you
Finally, thank you to all who attended the safeguarding Trust seminars over the last year or so. Attendances from youth leaders, Sunday school teachers etc. were very encouraging and I congratulate them on the very good work they are doing in parishes.
