This Union of Parishes includes the scenic town of Bunclody together with 3 country parishes in a rural picturesque setting. Bunclody is an agricultural town with a population of about 1,100 and it is well serviced by shops, pubs, fine restaurants and leisure activities. The scenery is particular ly beautiful north of the town, where the Slaney River leaves its mountain retreat, a good place for salmon and trout fishing.
