This Union is situated on the southern side of the Blackstairs Mountains stretching from Adamstown to the boundary with Bunclody, and is farming countryside.

Adamstown is positioned centrally in Wexford, between New Ross and Wexford town. It is a small village, with a church. The village is named after Abban, the son of King Conmac of Leinster.
