APPOINTMENT – NEW YOUTH OFFICER
Scott Evans We welcome Scott Evans to the United Diocese as out new Youth Officer. He succeeds Philp Heak and he hwill take up office on 1st November next. Scott runs AuthenticYouth, Scripture Union’s Youth and Schools Ministry. He has been invovled in Youth Work in Ireland for 4 years and is professionally trained with an BA (Hons) in Applied Theology and Youth and Community Work from the University of Cheltenham and Gloucester in the UK (JNC 2). Scott is also a qualified Sexual Health Educator with ACET (Aids, Care, Education and Training). He has been working with upwards of.5,000-6,000 young people annually in a wide variety of contexts including:
Over the past four years, Scott has also been a voice in the media in dialogue about current youth trends (both positive and negative). He has been live on air on Newstalk 106 and ‘The Last Word’ on Today FM as well as having articles written about him in the Daily Star (February 2004) and the Irish Times (August 2006). He is also sought as a speaker for Christian conferences and youth events, both in Ireland and overseas. ------------------------------------ The Institution of the Revd John Paul Kavanagh to the Kells / Inistioge Group of Parishes, United Dioceses of Cashel & Ossory took place on Sunday afternoon 17th February.

The Revd John Paul Kavanagh and his wife Mary, although from Ireland, have spent many years in Australia and are now returning home. He is former chaplain to the Bishop Druitt College in the Diocese of Grafton, in Australia. ...................................
