PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO NEW GOVERNMENT RESTRICTIONS RELATED TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC LIVE STREAMING OF SERVICES FROM CHURCHES MAY NOT BE POSSIBLE. 

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic church services are suspended at present but you can link in to these diocesan and national services online:

  1. Bishop Michael Burrows’ audio-visual reflection – REALISING THE VALUE – for Passion Sunday, March 29th will be live on the Diocesan website cashel.anglican.org at 1 p.m. on Saturday, 28th March.
  2. South East Radio (the Christian Media Trust) – 10.00 a.m. – A Service of Morning Prayer led by the Venerable Ruth Elmes, rector of Tinahely and Carnew Union of Parishes.
  3. RTE Sunday Service 11.00 a.m. (after the news) – A Service of Morning Prayer will be broadcast on RTE1 Television and on RTE Radio 1 and led by Archbishop Michael Jackson. The reader will be Margaret Healion and the Reverend Jack Kinkead will sing, accompanied by Klaas Jan de Vries.
  4. Community Radio Kilkenny City – 11. 15 a.m. – A recorded prayer service led by the Dean of St Canice’s, the Very Reverend David McDonnell. 88.7fm. It will also be available online on www.communityradiokilkennycity.ie or www.crkc.ie

The Reverend Ian Cruikshank also plans to post services/meditations on his FB page that have a background video of local scenes behind them e.g. walking in the woods in Killanne. This is in order to give parishioners who are self-isolating a sense of the outdoors during prayer.
