ENNISCORTHY TREE FESTIVAL IN ST MARY’S CHURCH

Abolutely Fabulous!

The Enniscorthy and Monart Union of parishes has teamed up with Wexford County Council to bring you the annual Christmas Tree Festival in 2017 in St. Mary’s Church!

The video covers a taste of what to expect when there!  Video of Enniscorthy Tree Festival by Enniscorthy For Kids

Do come along!

“We have almost 40 Christmas trees of different styles involving a huge amount of creativity,” says the Reverend Nicola Halford, Rector of Enniscorthy and Monart Union.

“A few examples include the Camera Club Christmas tree which is on a tripod and has a camera as the star, the Library Tree which has children’s favourite book covers on it, decorated by the children of the town and the Beechdale Garden Centre one which is a real winter wonderland display but do come along and see them all.

In our second year of the Tree Festival I was worried that the level of creativity wouldn’t be the same – we asked everyone to design a different tree rather than use the same idea again – but I needn’t have worried, it is absolutely fabulous! It’s a great showcase of the talent of the town.

The County Council, our main sponsors as well as other smaller ones, have been very supportive. That support helps to cover the set up costs.

We are open all weekend and our closing service which will include the Silver Tones Choir will be at 11.30 a.m. on Sunday but the tree festival will continue until 6 p.m. on Sunday.”

Funds raised will be divided between St Mary’s Church Fund and St Vincent de Paul.
