Continuing our Inspiring angles series, Dean Stephen Farrell talks through the stories of St Canice’s Cathedral, in Kilkenny. Well-known for its round tower, the cathedral of the Diocese of Ossory has been an important site of Christian worship since the 6th Century.
For both pilgrim and tourist alike, it’s a hallowed place, and one of significant historical interest. Watch this interview to hear about its early history, a major anniversary coming up in November, and its stone and stained-glass features – notably St Kieran’s Chair and a wonderful window reconstructed from a sketch in the Vatican Archives.
