The Bishop of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory, the Rt Revd Adrian Wilkinson is delighted

as Curate in Seagoe Parish in Portadown, and his first incumbency was in

Arthur has had a wide and varied experience of ministry, serving in parishes in
Dublin, Sligo, Enniskillen, Raphoe and most recently in Arklow in Co. Wicklow. He

He is married to Brigid, and they have three grown up children and two dogs.
Commenting on his appointment to the Killanne Union of parishes, Arthur said, “I am
delighted and humbled to be invited by Bishop Adrian to be the Rector of the
Killanne Union in the Diocese of Ferns. Brigid and I very much look forward to
getting to know the parishioners, and I look forward to serving them as pastor and
priest. I also look forward to getting to know clergy colleagues in the wider diocese of
Cashel, Ferns and Ossory.”

Bishop Wilkinson adds, “I am delighted that Canon Barrett has accepted this
appointment. Arthur has vast experience of the Church of Ireland both north and
south. He is a caring and diligent priest and pastor, and I know his parishioners in
Killanne and his colleagues throughout the Diocese will value his ministry and
friendship.”
