2017 SENIOR BISHOP’S MEDAL ESSAY COMPETITION

This is an annual essay competition for students in fifth & sixth

year in any secondary school within the boundaries of the

United Diocese of Cashel, Ferns & Ossory.

Candidates may belong to any denomination or none.

RESULTS:

Joint 2017 Senior Bishop’s Medal WINNERS: John Bailey &

Rebecca Lalor, both in Kilkenny College.

Joint SECOND: Charlotte Hale, Colaiste Bhride, Carnew,

and Emma Phair & Sophie Treacy both in Kilkenny College.

Joint THIRD: Rebekah Kenny & Anne-Marie Lyons both in

Colaiste Bhride, Carnew & Leanne Nolan in Kilkenny College.

Rebecca Kenny (5th yr) 2nd place (joint)

Charlotte Hale (6th yr) 3rd place (joint)

Anne Marie Lyons (5th yr) 3rd place (joint)

Also, John Bailey of Durrow was the joint winner of the 2017 Senior Bishop’s Medal competition.
