Remember the St Willibrord pilgrimage event last June and the Barrow Walk to bring the relic of the saint from Old Leighlin Cathedral to Carlow Cathedral?

Nationwide’s Helen McInerney recorded footage and interviews at this event at the time and it was broadcast on the Nationwide programme on Monday night, February 12th last.

Interviews with Bishop Michael Burrows and Bishop Denis Nulty are included. Also footage from Echternach in Luxembourg, that an ecumenical group visited prior to the relic’s arrival in Ireland.  St Willibrord had connections with the Leighlinbridge area and is patron saint of Luxembourg.
