ONLINE CHURCH SERVICES
DIOCESE OF CASHEL, FERNS & OSSORY
As we experience the joy of public worship resuming this week there are still a few COVID-19 guidelines to remember. These are:
- 50 people may attend public worship subject to social distancing and due arrangements for individual households and ‘bubbles’.
- Face coverings should continue to be worn.
- Hand cleansing should continue to be meticulous.
- Gathering around church doors and gates should be avoided.
- From May 10 the maximum number at funeral and wedding services will also rise to 50 but ‘related events, either before or after, should not take place”
- No singing yet
- Keep windows and doors open where possible – ventilation will keep us safe
- There is no explicit guidance from government as yet as to whether in large buildings with multiple entrances /exits, congregations of more than fifty may be accommodated in distinct pods.
- Keep an eye on gov.ie for further clarifications and guidelines in the coming days and weeks.
