The book is edited by Dr Ida Milne and Dr Ian d’Alton.

The foreword is by Professor Roy Foster, the conclusion by Professor Joe Ruane and there are 16 essays in total.

They illustrate the various ways Protestants found (a sense of) place in a country many of their families had lived for hundreds of years. It is published by Cork University Press, see   https://www.corkuniversitypress.com/Protestant-and-Irish-p/9781782052982.htm

Four of the chapters particularly relate to Ferns, Ossory and Leighlin.

Dr Milne’s chapter is about Protestants and their relationship with the GAA – a stronger relationship than people might think, she says.
