Funding is now available for local Mental Health promotion initiatives

The MindMatters COI mental health project has now launched its Seed Funding Campaign.  This phase of the project aims to provide financial support for local Church of Ireland mental health promotion initiatives which address one/all the themes from the MindMattersCOI research.

These themes are:

  • Reducing stigma
  • Promoting connections
  • Clergy training and supports
  • Mental Health and Faith: Faith and prayer are important to the mental health of churchgoers and clergy

For a copy of the application form and more information about this exciting opportunity, please click here . The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday, 29th July 2022. It is envisaged that funding will be available from early autumn 2022.

Importantly, at least one member of the team applying for the funding should have attended (or plan to attend) the MindMatters COI Online Mental Health Awareness Training, delivered by our external training partners Action Mental Health.  This training lasts less than two hours and provides a good overview of mental health.  To book onto one of these training events, please email: mhp@rcbdub.org .

Please note – funding will not be able to be transferred unless training has been attended by at least one member of the group applying for funding.

This is to ensure a shared and consistent level of understanding and awareness of mental health.

If you have any questions or are looking for ideas or suggestions, please do contact the team at mhp@rcbdub.org or email me directly.

Looking forward to receiving your applications!,

Many thanks,

Rebekah and the MindMattersCOI Team
