What’s it all about?

This diocesan summer camp is being run by Church of Ireland clergy, youth workers and volunteers for young people (post-primary). All adults are Garda vetted and have undertaken the necessary safeguarding trust training. There will be plenty of sports, games, swimming, crafts and we also hope to take a trip to an outdoor Adventure Centre during the week. Each evening we will have movies, discos and quizzes with some time set aside for prayer and worship.

 

What is included?

All meals, activities, and transport costs whilst on the camp.

There is an outdoor swimming pool on site as well as a large sports hall, tennis courts, basketball courts, football pitches, table tennis tables and pool tables.

We will hold tournaments and competitions in many of these sports.

 

What do I need to bring?

  • Clothes suitable for activities mentioned above.
  • Towels and wash bag
  • Sleeping bag and pillow
  • Small amount of money for tuck shop.
  • Torch
  • White cotton t-shirt – for tie-dye craft.
  • Musical Instrument – if you play.
  • Sports equipment – we will have equipment on site,

but you may wish to use your own.

 

Cost?

The camp is €120 per person. The week is heavily subsidized by the diocesan youth grants.

 

Sleeping arrangements?

There will be separate boys’ and girls’ halls. Bedrooms allow for two people to share each night – please indicate on your booking form who you would like to share with. Bedding is not provided so please bring sleeping bag and pillow.

 

Transportation?

A coach leaving Enniscorthy and travelling through Bunclody, Carlow and Abbeyleix has been provisionally booked. Please indicate on the booking form if you wish to avail of it. We might also provide a bus leaving from Waterford and going through Kilkenny if there is demand. The cost of transportation is €15 each way.
