Online services update as churches reopen after lockdown – also CMT radio programmes

As we experience the joy of public worship resuming this week there are still a few COVID-19 guidelines to remember. These are:

  • 50 people may attend public worship subject to social distancing and due arrangements for individual households and ‘bubbles’.
  • Face coverings should continue to be worn.
  • Hand cleansing should continue to be meticulous.
  • Gathering around church doors and gates should be avoided.
  • From May 10 the maximum number at funeral and wedding services will also rise to 50 but ‘related events, either before or after, should not take place”
  • No singing yet
  • Keep windows and doors open where possible – ventilation will keep us safe
  • There is no explicit guidance from government as yet as to whether in large buildings with multiple entrances /exits, congregations of more than fifty may be accommodated in distinct pods.
  • Keep an eye on for further clarifications and guidelines in the coming days and weeks.

As churches re-open some rectors are continuing online services for the moment and others are not. We will have a full list of changes next week but please see the information below for details from some parishes but also check the FB and website links in other parishes to find out about changes in that union/group of parishes
